Debbie has over four and a half years working as a Substance Abuse Counselor in a private residential setting. Previously, Debbie volunteered as a Relief Counsellor at Renascent Treatment Centre (Munro House-Women) for 10 years working with women in the field of addiction and alcohol abuse. Currently she is a certified member with CACCF (Canadian Addiction Counsellors Certified Federation). Debbie retired from the Toronto Police Service (civilian) after 36 ½ years of dedicated service. Prior to retiring she completed her studies with Guelph University and graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Justice. Throughout her working career, Debbie acquired an extensive education and practical experience in counselling modules for individual and group therapy including CBT, Crisis Intervention, Post Traumatic Stress, and Addiction Recovery. Debbie is trained and continues to be a student in the Neuro-Linguistic Program and is a certified Reflexologist. Debbie’s personal life experiences and subsequently path of recovery has proven to be a strong asset in the field of recovery from drug and alcohol abuse. Debbie’s dedication in helping others help themselves shines. She is a dedicated and pragmatic individual who often can win the trust and confidence of individuals in her life.
